In the past 2 months in Lexis, I’ve got to make many foriegn friends and study IELTS as well! It was nice to improve my general English proficiency – Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Warm-hearted staffs, enthusiastic teachers, well-organized and specialized courses for all IELT learners. Good facilities and location(near Gangnam station).

Reading
Upgrade levels of vocabulary and grammar for fast and precise reading. / Practice Skimming and Scanning. / Don’t spend much time on unnecessary texts. / Try to solve each passages in manageable time(15min./20min./25min.) / Build your own strategy for each question type – how to solve the problems! One by one, or Spontaneously?
Listening
Build your listening strategy and Know when the answer might be come(Paraphrasing)/ Check, verify, and practice what kinds of sounds you are weak at(words, accents etc). / Practice with 1.5 times speed!
Writing
Try to write in limited time(task1 15min, task2 40min) / Download prior IELTS actual test topics and Build your own ideas for every topic(Environment, Education, Science, … , Culture etc) / Expand own boundaries of lexical resources (plus, collocation) and grammar structures. / Practice how to write introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Must know what sentences shouuld be included in each paragraph, and Fully explain your ideas!
Speaking
Make many foriegn friends to speak in English / Use uncommon vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. / Find quality materials to study – BBC, Youtube, TED etc, and Copy native speakers’ expression and ideas. / Make and practice your own stories for each topics(part 2 script) / Don’t study knowledge. Learn how to speak. / Think in English, Not in Korean.
